Lindsey Jones

Over the past two summers, I interned at environmental consulting companies. This summer I worked at American Engineering Testing in Minnesota; the previous summer I worked at Roux Associates in New York. Over the two summers, I worked on many different projects at sites including chemical plants, construction sites, mines, and highway bridges. In addition to field work, I wrote reports, proposals, safety plans, and field work instructions, analyzed and organized data, and researched new sites and regulations. I had to be flexible and self-motivated, learning new skills on almost every project and finding my own work. My favorite part of the job was how dynamic it was--I did something different every day, often with different people, and was constantly learning and being challenged.
